Two independent plant zones. One simple dashboard.
G2 combines moisture-guided watering for two individually monitored plants with flexible scheduled watering for a larger group of pots. Configure both channels, see live readings and review watering history from the local PlantMate dashboard.
Sensor Mode or Timer Mode
Use independent soil-moisture control where precision matters, or a supervised scheduled setup when you want to branch a pump line across several pots.
Independent care for up to two plants
Each channel has its own moisture sensor, pump, target, settings, history and WATER ERROR protection.
- Moisture-guided watering
- Separate calibration and watering records
- One channel can continue if the other reports an error
Scheduled watering for many pots
Split either pump line through compatible branch tubing and nozzles to serve several pots for a set duration.
- Flexible multi-pot layouts
- Balance and test every branch while supervised
- Does not measure or verify each pot’s moisture
See both plants clearly
Open the local dashboard from a phone, tablet or computer on your home Wi-Fi to review soil moisture, temperature, humidity, light, recent activity, settings and watering status. The OLED and physical controls remain available at the device.
From the box to a supervised test
Automatic watering is disabled when G2 first ships. Finish the water connections, Wi-Fi setup, channel settings and supervised testing before enabling unattended watering.
Place
Install the two halo rings and soil-moisture sensors in the pots.
Connect
Put the pumps in a clean water container, connect the tubing and check every outlet.
Power & join
Use the included USB-PD 9V adapter and USB-C cable, then join your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi.
Configure & test
Name each plant, choose a mode, calibrate Sensor Mode and run a supervised test.
Useful detail without constant checking
Per-channel protection
A Sensor Mode problem on one plant does not stop the other plant’s normal watering routine.
Watering history
Review moisture charts, watering markers, environmental trends, recent activity and statistics.
Optional microSD
Add a FAT32 microSD card up to 16 GB for extended CSV sensor logging and exports.
Optional Telegram
Configure owner-only alerts and remote commands for status, watering, pause, stop and error clearing.
On-device controls
Use the OLED information screens, status LEDs and maintenance controls directly at G2.
Offline continuity
Sensors and Sensor Mode watering continue without internet. The local dashboard requires home Wi-Fi.

G2 at a glance
Before you choose G2
Can G2 water more than two plants?
Yes. In Timer Mode, either pump line can be split through compatible branch tubing and nozzles to serve several pots. Timer Mode runs for the set duration and does not measure or verify each pot’s moisture, so balance the branches and test every outlet while supervised. Sensor Mode independently monitors up to two plants.
Does G2 need the internet to water?
Sensor readings, the OLED and Sensor Mode watering continue without internet access. The local dashboard needs a connection to your home Wi-Fi. Internet access is recommended for time synchronization, firmware checks and optional Telegram remote access; a Timer Mode schedule needs a valid clock after a fresh startup.
Do I need a PlantMate cloud account or subscription?
No PlantMate cloud account is required for the local dashboard. Optional Telegram remote access uses the bot and owner chat ID that you configure in G2 settings.
Is a microSD card required?
No. Normal watering, the OLED and the local dashboard work without one. A compatible FAT32 microSD card up to 16 GB is optional for extended CSV logging.
What happens if one Sensor Mode channel reports a WATER ERROR?
G2 flags the affected plant and can alert you, while the other channel continues its normal Sensor Mode routine. Check the reservoir, pump inlet, tubing and the sensor’s position within the wetted area before clearing the error.
Where can I find calibration, reset and update instructions?
Open the current G2 user guide for guided Wi-Fi setup, plant calibration, safe reset procedures, Telegram configuration and firmware update instructions.
Set up with confidence
Use the current G2 manual for calibration and troubleshooting, review the v5.0.1 update notes, or contact PlantMate support if you need help identifying a part or planning a multi-pot layout.
