🔋 PlantMate G1: Simple, Cordless and Ultra-Low Power
PlantMate G1 is designed for one indoor potted plant. It does not need Wi-Fi, internet access or an app. Its soil-moisture sensor checks the actual condition of the soil and waters only when the reading falls below the selected target.
- Controls one plant in Sensor Mode
- No Timer Mode
- No Wi-Fi, account or mobile app required
- Powered by four matching AA alkaline batteries or regulated USB-C 5 V
- One silent submersible pump sits inside the water container
- Ultra-low-power sleep design minimizes operating cost
With four premium matching alkaline AA batteries, such as Duracell or Energizer, G1 can operate for up to approximately one year under suitable low-demand conditions. Actual battery life depends on watering frequency, pump settings, battery condition and the installation.
Choose G1 if: you have one plant and want the simplest, quietest and most energy-efficient PlantMate, especially where a power outlet or Wi-Fi connection is inconvenient.
📡 PlantMate G2: Quiet Two-Zone Smart Watering
PlantMate G2 provides two independent pump and sensor channels. In Sensor Mode, it can monitor and water two individual plants with separate settings and error protection. In Timer Mode, each pump can run on a schedule without a sensor. With suitable branch fittings and nozzles, a timer line can also distribute water to several pots.
- Two independent watering channels
- Sensor Mode or Timer Mode for either channel
- Two quiet submersible pumps inside the water container
- USB-C Power Delivery 9 V power only
- Local Wi-Fi dashboard for setup, history and control
- Two-way Telegram alerts, status checks and remote commands
- Temperature, humidity and light monitoring
- Independent water-error protection for both channels
G2 has no dedicated PlantMate mobile app. Its main controls are stored on the device and accessed through a browser over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Telegram provides optional monitoring and control over the internet. After configuration, automatic watering can continue if internet access is temporarily unavailable, although remote features will not work until the connection returns.
Choose G2 if: you want quiet operation, two independently controlled plants, the flexibility to supply additional pots in Timer Mode, and convenient internet monitoring.
🖥️ PlantMate G3: Four-Plant Touchscreen Control
PlantMate G3 is the most advanced model. It independently controls four plants, with Sensor Mode or Timer Mode available for every channel. Its 4-inch colour capacitive touchscreen is the primary interface, so Wi-Fi, a phone and an app are not needed for normal operation.
- Four independent plant channels
- Sensor Mode or Timer Mode for each plant
- Full 4-inch colour touchscreen control
- Works with or without Wi-Fi
- USB-C Power Delivery 12 V power only
- Four internal 12 V self-priming diaphragm pumps
- Built-in history, charts, calibration and maintenance controls
- Optional local browser dashboard and Telegram access
- Optional micro-SD logging and firmware updates
G3 uses one inlet tube and weighted filter in the water container. Its four pumps are installed inside the controller, and four numbered outlets deliver water to the plants. The self-priming diaphragm pumps provide stronger water movement and do not need to be submerged, but they are noticeably louder than the submersible pumps used by G1 and G2.
Choose G3 if: you need four independent watering zones, want complete control without Wi-Fi, and prefer a large touchscreen with advanced history and maintenance features.
✅ Which PlantMate Should You Choose?
- Choose G1 for one plant, battery operation, ultra-low energy use and the simplest installation.
- Choose G2 for two connected watering zones, very quiet pumps, browser control and Telegram access.
- Choose G3 for four independent plants, full offline touchscreen control and powerful internal pumps.
📶 Which models work without Wi-Fi?
G1 does not use Wi-Fi. G3 can be fully operated from its touchscreen without Wi-Fi. G2 uses Wi-Fi for setup and its browser dashboard, although its configured automatic watering can continue during a temporary internet outage.
🔇 Which PlantMate is the quietest?
G1 and G2 use quiet submersible pumps inside the water container. G3 uses more powerful self-priming diaphragm pumps inside the controller, so its pumps are more audible while running.
⏱️ Which models support Timer Mode?
G2 and G3 support Timer Mode. G1 waters only according to measured soil moisture and does not include a timer-based watering method.
🪴 Can G2 water more than two plants?
G2 has two independent pump channels and two sensor inputs. In Sensor Mode, it is intended to monitor up to two individual plants. In Timer Mode, tubing from a pump can be divided with suitable fittings and nozzles to distribute water to several pots, provided the system is carefully tested for even flow.
Whichever model you choose, begin with short manual watering tests, check every connection for leaks and observe how your plants, soil and pots respond before enabling unattended automatic watering.
