Plantmate G2 v5.0.1 setup and how-it-works video guide

Plantmate G2 v5.0.1 Setup & How It Works — Sensor & Timer Modes

New to Plantmate G2? This quick animated guide shows how to set up the PMWC-02, connect the hardware correctly, and choose the watering mode that fits your plants.

What this video covers

  • What comes with Plantmate G2 and how the main components work together
  • Correct connections for the two moisture sensors, two silent submersible pumps, water tubing, and Halo watering rings
  • Wi-Fi setup and the local plantmate.local dashboard
  • Sensor Mode for moisture-controlled watering of up to two plants
  • Timer Mode for scheduled watering of many plants when tubing is distributed to multiple pots
  • WATER ERROR recovery, Wi-Fi reset, and factory reset

Choose the right watering mode

Use Sensor Mode when each plant needs automatic watering based on its own soil-moisture reading. Use Timer Mode when you want scheduled watering; with suitable tubing splitters or distribution fittings, one pump line can serve multiple pots.

For WATER ERROR troubleshooting, check the water supply, pump, tubing, and connections. If needed, move the moisture sensor closer to the watering nozzle or Halo ring so it can detect the moisture change more quickly.

This guide applies to Plantmate G2 (PMWC-02) running firmware v5.0.1.
