Guide contents

  1. Factory settings
  2. How automatic watering works
  3. Refill and battery alerts
  4. Power and included accessories
  5. Troubleshooting and support

1. Start with these factory settings

Target moisture

92%

Adjustable from 0% to 98% in 2% steps.

Pump flow

High

Choose Low, Medium, or High.

Maximum water time

8 seconds

Adjustable from 2 to 20 seconds in 2-second steps.

Use these values as a starting point. Adjust them after observing how your plant, soil, pot, and water placement respond.

2. How automatic watering works

  1. About every six hours, the Cube wakes and checks the soil at that moment.
  2. If moisture is at or above the target, it does not water and returns to sleep. This is normal.
  3. If moisture is below the target, it waters once, waits 15 seconds, and checks again.
  4. It stops as soon as the target is reached. It repeats only if needed, up to three pump runs total.
Low-power operation: The Cube measures only when it wakes. If the soil becomes dry between checks, it may wait until the next check. Press Wake Up if you want it to check sooner.

3. Refill and battery alerts

Blue refill alert

The blue LED flashes when the water tank may need refilling.

Red battery alert

The red LED flashes and pumping is blocked when the battery level is 5% or lower.

4. Power and included accessories

Operate the Cube with four matching 1.5 V alkaline AA batteries or regulated 5 V USB-C power.

Not included: Batteries, USB power supply, USB-C cable, and water reservoir.
